And The Biggest Loser Is...

Our own Biggest Loser Contest had ended last Friday coinciding with our office's Christmas Party. Would you believe, the top three biggest losers were all males? Ren was third placer, losing 9 lbs. Kim was second placer, losing 10 lbs. And the biggest loser was Resty, losing 13 lbs.

Other contenders were protesting Kim's winning since he lost weight due to sickness. However, since we did not specifically state the manner by which the participants should lose weight, we had to consider Kim's hospitalization as a "legitimate" way of weight reduction. Anyway, the P2,500.00 was just a consolation for Kim who spent more than that for his medications (Yes, that's how small our cash prizes were for the winners because the prize money was just donated by the four of us "bosses" in the office. I urged the three other bosses to donate P2,000.00 each and divide the total, including my donation, to the three winners with the third placer getting P1,500.00 and the grand winner, P4,000.00).

How about the other non-winners, did they get any consolation prize? Unfortunately, they did not as we had agreed that only the top three would get cash prizes.

Wait...they got consolation after all.

The mere fact that they lost weight ranging from 1 to 5 lbs. indicated that they could really lose weight if they wanted to. Who knows, they might become the winners in the same contest by next year. And the cash prize might increase if everybody agrees to the proposal of our big boss that starting February those who cannot maintain their weight as of last Friday would be penalized with the penalty (we still have to determine how much) going to the money pot.

Promise, we shall have a bigger cash prize next year, not only for our Biggest Loser Contest but also for the Best Costume Award for our Christmas Party. Everybody in the office looks forward to it.
